About Ruth Joselson
Ruth Joselson is the founder, owner, and instructor of Foreign Accent Reduction of New Jersey. A native New Yorker, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Florida. She received special training and is certified by the Institute of Language and Phonology as qualified to teach the Compton P-ESL (Pronunciation of English as a Second Language) method. Ruth has taught students in the corporate program at Rutgers University and formerly taught classes in American English Pronunciation at Middlesex County College. Her clients have included employees from Lucent Technologies, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, Citibank, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Wyeth, McGraw-Hill Publishers, and JPMorgan Chase. Ruth’s extensive background in the full range of communication problems of people of all ages and her experience as a foreign accent reduction specialist for the past 15 years make her uniquely qualified to work with foreign-born, professional adults.
